Sketches of Lake Wawasee by Scott A. Edgell deals with the lake region in northern Indiana at the turn of the century. Because the Wawasee region escaped industrialism and a rapid increase in population, it retained until after World War I some of the sturdy individuals characteristic of a pioneer society persons who looked after themselves and lived off the land, the animals, and the waters of Kosciusko County, Indiana. The book records incidents in the lives of some of these very people. A reprint of the 1967 edition.
Hardcover. 94 pages. 1967, Indiana Historical Society. By Scott A. Edgell.
