Don't Go
Aamidor’s newest collection of short stories, Don’t Go, includes stories previously published in The Gettysburg Review, The Antioch Review, Chicago Quarterly Review, The South Carolina Review, Vermont Literary Review, and elsewhere, plus several original stories and a Novella. “In the Graveyard of Past Experience,” a sensitive treatment of a mental health patient who laments his status in life, then is driven further into despair by an imperious psychiatrist with a legendary “God Complex” who believes the man deserves no happiness. In a nod to John Cheever’s “Falconer,” the patient survives the ordeal with the misguided psychiatrist and retains his dignity.
