Union Traction Co. of Indiana: Connecting by Electric Traction the Cities of Anderson, Alexandria, Elwood, Marion, Muncie, Indianapolis

At the end of the nineteenth century and into the twentieth century, the Union Traction Company of Indiana operated an interurban electric railway system between Indianapolis and Marion, Indiana. Reproduced from the original circa 1901 pamphlet printed by Koerner & Hayes of Buffalo and held in the Indiana Historical Society's map collection, The Union Traction Co. of Indiana map provides a stylized aerial view show of interurban railroad lines operated by the company, passing through numerous Indiana cities. On the opposing side are vignettes providing information on the company, geographical areas and people the railway served, rates of fare, and steam railroad connections. The poster is 30-3/4" x 8-1/2".
