The illustrator of this children's book, John W. Ewing, was an animation artist at Disney Studios in Burbank from 1956 to 1967 where he helped craft classic feature films such as Sleeping Beauty, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, The Jungle Book, The Sword in the Stone, and Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree. After Disney, Ewing went to New Zealand and launched Freelance Animators Ltd., carrying out contract work for Disney and Warner Bros.
