Traces of Indiana and Midwestern History is an award-winning popular-history magazine published quarterly as a benefit of membership in the IHS. Its goal is to present good narrative and analytical history about Indiana in its broader contexts of region and nation, and it does so by exploring topics such as biography, literature, folklore, music, visual arts, politics, industry, transportation, and sports. The magazine’s numerous illustrations enhance its storytelling, bringing life to the people, places, and events of Indiana’s past.
